On behalf of the GeM Team, I am happy to share with all our GeM users that we are preparing transition from the current pilot version to significantly enhanced and scaled up GeM 3.0, very shortly.  I would like to place on record our deep appreciation to you all, in adopting to use of GeM and bearing with our shortcomings in attending to some of your issues in the process.   It has been hugely learning exercise with very encouraging outcomes, so far.  We have crossed more than one lakh orders amounting to a little more than Rs.2000 crores in way of transactions on GeM, in its short journey of little more than a year.

It is our earnest endeavour to factor in all the feedback and suggestions that users have been sharing with us, in developing the GeM 3.0 such that the enhanced version is customised to the extent possible, to the most of the users (both sellers and buyers) requirements.

 As part of our transition we will be migrating data from the current portal. In order to cleanse and rid the data of all its errors and inaccuracies, we request all our OEMs registered on GeM to immediately share with us a master data set of all their products, models details along with their specifications that are current and available for the Indian market.  This will help us in updating our current data and cleansing its errors and inaccuracies and keeping it in-sync with your currently available products in the market. 

I request that this data in its digital form is certified by the OEMs and shared on consult.gemteam@gem.gov.in with Shri Rajesh Jain, DCEO (011-23362961) and Shri Y.K. Pathak, DCEO (011-23360338) immediately (by 20th November in any case) as only the cleansed data will be migrated to the GeM 3.0.
